The always beautiful and radiant producer and veteran TV star Krista Lensin has never made a secret of the fact that she rejuvenates her face with beauty injections. She does not want to change her face and look unnaturally young but rather has had procedures done with the aim of looking fresher and more rested.
How did you end up at Health Clinic?
Before choosing a clinic, you should look around, ask around. If you have some friends who have already had injections somewhere, I recommend that you go there, look around and find out. I also asked a lot of people where they go. The name Health Clinic came up repeatedly.
I went for a consultation and honestly, all the doctors at Health Clinic are great! I do not think it makes sense to constantly change doctors for beauty injections. The experience, results and overall satisfaction might never be the same in a new place. As long as you are happy, stick with one place. You have to choose who you trust with your face. The doctor and the clinic are much more important than the procedure you are having.
Why and which beauty injections did you choose?
There are a million beauty injection options to choose from. The first thing you should do is choose your clinic and doctor. You should choose a person you trust. And if you have the right person, they will understand what you want. I think the most important thing is that you remain the same person. Your face should not change too much. In my case, all the procedures and where they need to be done is up to the doctor. I have no idea myself.
I have been getting beauty injections for years. When I first got beauty injections, I realised that I did not need to be so expressive with my face. This way, you can better prevent deep wrinkles from forming. I wanted to act early and prevent deep wrinkles.
Well, I do not know. Look at me! I think I am doing fine. The main question is, what do you want to achieve? Those unnatural faces showcased in some parts of the world are not done in Estonia. In my opinion, we still have reliable doctors in that sense, whose goal is not to change the face.
What were your expectations?
Just like with any such procedure, I wanted my face to look firmer and more radiant and especially to reduce unnecessary mimic wrinkles.
In fact, as they say, certain wrinkles reflect a woman’s life and that is beautiful. But as my doctor says, all those laughter lines that go up are lovely, but inevitably we also get those downward frown lines. When they start to appear, so does the look of ageing.
Being in a job like mine, I do not want to be visually ageing. Not for myself or others.
My desire was not to get younger. I have never thought, “Make me look like a schoolgirl again.” I have had such a great life. I do not want to hide that. The goal was simply to feel brighter and fresher. Afterwards, you do not have to use so much make-up and powders and cover everything up all the time. I do not want to hide anything.
Is there anything to be scared of when it comes to beauty injections?
I think one thing that all people are afraid of is the injection itself. It seems like, oh my God, injections are being done in your face and these injections are not done once or twice, but sometimes even more.
I am also afraid of pain, but fortunately beauty injections are not that bad. In modern medicine, all the needles are so tiny that you can not even understand exactly what is being done. What may be the most annoying part of the injection procedure is that it takes a while. You have to be patient.
Sometimes, very rarely, you may get some bruises. That is okay. Of course, this happens very rarely with my doctor. Luckily for women, there is concealer and they can be covered up nicely, if necessary.
When it comes to beauty injections, you have to be prepared for some discomfort, but I think everyone who has been to the dentist has experienced much worse. The injection is definitely not worse. There is nothing to be afraid of.
Since you have talked about the topic before, do you also get asked about beauty injections?
I have never hidden the fact that I get beauty injections. I think hiding it is such an outdated thing. I say that all those beautiful, slim and smooth women who have supposedly never been to a doctor are all lying. Believe me!
Many people ask me different questions about beauty injections. I think it is okay and I always give them advice.
They will ask you how tight you are getting, if you can still smile, if your face looks unnatural, etc. They will also ask if it hurts, if it is uncomfortable. I say you just have to get over it. I also always give recommendations, such as where to go to the clinic.
There are a million worse things in the world. The results of beauty injections are so impressive and the time you spend enduring the procedure is relatively minimal. If you feel like you want to refresh your face, for yourself and not for others, then go for it!
Do you plan to continue getting beauty injections? Have you considered getting any other procedures?
As long as I can still be just an injection fanatic, I will definitely continue with only them. Certain areas that bother me are, for example, the corners of my eyes or mouth, which inevitably start to sag at some point due to gravity. These are the ones I like to enhance.
Of course, I have also thought about more serious surgeries, but I hope to postpone them as long as possible. Regardless, I never make a move without consulting my doctor.
The good thing about Health Clinic is that all the doctors there are so experienced and thorough. When you get there, the doctor will have enough time for you so you will get answers to all your questions.
